Welcome to the Kirsty Hawkshaw Podcast -
Liner Notes...

What's this all about ? you ask....

Well, this is the stuff you're not going to find on You Tube or myspace. It's the behind-the-scenes, directly from the artist herself, chat about her songs, and stories that influenced them.
It's the kind of stuff you wish you knew about the songs you love to listen to. We're going to have a regularly scheduled podcast about Kirsty's songs and the stories behind them... what she was feeling, thinking.... who she collaborated with, where she recorded them, and why they are special to her.

Today

We really want to hear what you have to say about this podcast, and any ideas that you may have. Send us an email at the address below.

We've started off this series of podcasts with a song from the 'On Ultimate Things' album called 'Orange', a song written about Kirsty's friend Sally Harding. We hope you enjoy it!

Our previous podcast featured 'Meteors' from her forthcoming release, and her collaboration with secondlife artist Robbie Dingo, aka Rob Wright, and filmmaker Douglas Gayeton from Millions of Us! This is a good one!

This podcast is all about the music, so if you have a favorite song that you would like Kirsty to chat about, please see the 'More' section, and cast you vote!

This is a show that you can 'subscribe' to in iTunes or in your favorite podcatching application. Every time a new episode is posted, it will automatically arrive to your computer, and sync to your iPod or mp3 player.

If you are new to podcasts, you can checkout the 'Subscribe!' section to see how easy it is to subscribe. It's kind of like a Tivo for your audio, and you can listen to it whenever you like to.

Hope you enjoy the shows ;  )
So it's been quite a great ride, bringing in the new year, so dubbed two thousand and great.

KFH's Blowcast - Music that will Blow Your Mind is now live at Podshow. Checkout Episode 6 and 7, Spring is in the Air!

Jan 13, 2008 - Kirsty joined the 'Podsafe Music Network' or the PMN as it is know in the Pod - o - Sphere, and uploaded 7 songs. Being 'Podsafe' gives podcasters the opportunity to play the song on their show, and in return they report to the artist that the track has been played. It is a win-win situation for the podcaster and the artist. If the artist chooses to do so, they can sell their track at the PMN too!

Jan 15th, 2008 - GD from the Bite Size Bonus Pocast in North Wales spins 'The Phoenix Effect' and gets this whole podsafe snowball rolling on Episode #520
Many Thanks to Martin "GD" Devaughan for playing the track. Check out Green Dragon Media and subscribe to Bite Size Bonus.

Jan 18th, 2008 -
Adam Curry's Daily Source Code
DSC711 started off as usual, and Adam started talking about independent promotion and at 28:00 minutes into the show he started
talking about Chuck sending in an audio ID personally from Kirsty, show artwork, and a Chuck's phonecall into the DSC. So after the Adam played the track 'Meteors' Adam reminisced  'How I long for the Good Old Days, when the talent would just blow the DJ to get their song played.... ahhh, these days you just have to do it with a picture..."

Jan 20th, 2008 -
Kirsty listens and video captures herself as she hears the comments....She releases a cheeky video response to Adam on Podcast SIX..... and.....OMG......

Jan 21st, 2008 -
DSC712 came in with a bang, at about 6 minutes into the podcast Adam said, "That whole thing with Kirsty Hawkshaw...it hit a
chord with the listeners.."  So Adam played listener comments and email, then commented play-by-play as he watched Kirsty's video reply. This is a MUST listen show, LOL.... check it out, and Adam don't forget - Love ya', Mean it, Great Hair, Hope you Win!.
